Every year thirty-six artists, 12 artistic contributions from each city, are asked to select from their photographic archive an image that captures a fleeting moment and has specific meaning within their personal research. In the poster format 70×100 cm, three reproduced images, each from every city, are on display simultaneously for a month in Berlin, in Bologna, and in Cervia.

Martin Albrecht Fulton‘s photographs draw our attention to the inconspicuous aspects of everyday urban life. In this series he focuses on discarded objects on pavements (from ‘Residual Light Amplifier’ (2023-2025)) and details of torn posters and stickers (from ‘Sediments’ (2016-2025)).

The artist understands these fragments of reality as aesthetic sediments of a society that deposits its own contradictions in urban space. His ‘sculptural finds,’ which he discovers at night in passing by, are, as it were, flotsam and artefacts of our society; decollages of torn posters and stickers that have taken on new forms through decay, erosion and human intervention.

Like relics of anonymous communication, they tell of ambivalent human actions between care and indifference.
